Job Description
Join Nordstrom as a Retail Order Packer, specializing in our boutique brand collections. This on-site role involves carefully and efficiently packing customer orders, ensuring items are correct, well-presented, and ready for shipment. You will be an essential part of our logistics team, contributing to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The ‘Casual Loading’ aspect refers to the flexible nature of handling various order sizes and product types within our boutique offerings, requiring adaptability and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, focusing on boutique brand items.
- Perform quality checks on all outgoing products to ensure they meet Nordstrom's high standards.
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks (training provided).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily packing and shipping targets.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of inventory procedures.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or packing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
