Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured orientation and residency curriculum.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a preceptor and experienced nursing staff.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Document patient observations, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligible to obtain prior to start.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Previous healthcare experience (e.g., LPN, CNA, volunteer) in a hospital setting.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Membership in professional nursing organizations.
