Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Screen Wash Refill Aide to join our professional fleet care team in Layton, Utah. In this essential role, you will be responsible for ensuring our commercial vehicles are consistently topped up with screen wash and other crucial fluids, directly contributing to the safety and operational readiness of our fleet. Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections of commercial vehicles to check screen wash levels and refill as necessary.
- Monitor and report on other fluid levels, including oil, coolant, and power steering fluid, flagging any low levels or potential leaks to senior technicians.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fluid storage and dispensing area in compliance with company and environmental standards.
- Assist fleet maintenance technicians with various minor tasks and general shop duties as assigned.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures when handling fluids and operating equipment.
- Accurately document fluid usage, refill activities, and vehicle readiness status.
- Operate and maintain fluid dispensing equipment to ensure proper function.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or a strong willingness to learn about vehicle systems and fluids.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
- Exceptional attention to detail and observation skills to identify potential issues.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in an automotive service center, car wash, or fleet maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with different types of vehicle fluids and their functions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
