Job Description
UPS is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for a Seasonal Package Support role based in Palmdale, CA. This position offers a flexible schedule, making it an excellent opportunity for students or anyone seeking temporary work during peak seasons. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for handling packages, ensuring timely and accurate sorting, loading, and unloading. No prior experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently sort, load, and unload packages of various sizes and weights.
- Scan packages and ensure proper placement according to destination.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent injuries and damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth package flow and meet daily operational goals.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak season.
