Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Shopify Expert to join our e-commerce team in Sydney, Nova Scotia, focusing specifically on our fashion and apparel lines. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Shopify ecosystem, with a proven track record of optimizing online stores, implementing new features, and enhancing the overall customer shopping experience. You will be instrumental in driving our digital presence, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing to the growth of our fashion and apparel categories. This on-site role requires a proactive individual who can bridge the gap between technical requirements and creative vision within the dynamic fashion retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain our Shopify Plus storefronts, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
- Implement, configure, and optimize Shopify apps and integrations to enhance store functionality and customer experience.
- Develop and customize Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to align with brand guidelines and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and design teams to launch new products, promotions, and seasonal campaigns effectively.
- Conduct regular audits of the e-commerce platform for performance, SEO, UX/UI, and conversion rate optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform, third-party apps, and integrations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, industry trends, and best practices in e-commerce and fashion technology.
- Provide technical guidance and support for e-commerce projects and initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across the Shopify platform and connected systems.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise with Shopify Plus, including theme development, app integration, and store management.
- Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with e-commerce best practices, including SEO, CRO, and analytics.
- Understanding of fashion and apparel industry specific e-commerce challenges and opportunities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing and optimizing Shopify stores.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shopify Expert or Shopify Partner certification.
- Experience with headless commerce architectures (e.g., using Shopify as a backend with a custom frontend).
- Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms or PIM systems.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles for e-commerce.
- Experience with A/B testing tools and methodologies.
- Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
