Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shopify Specialist with a keen focus on optimizing the customer journey and enhancing user experience (UX). In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, managing, and improving our Shopify e-commerce platform. You will work closely with marketing, design, and development teams to implement strategies that convert visitors into loyal customers, ensuring our online store is intuitive, engaging, and performs at its peak. Your expertise will directly impact our digital growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain our Shopify e-commerce platform, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
- Implement and optimize new features, apps, and integrations within the Shopify ecosystem to enhance functionality.
- Analyze customer behavior data (e.g., Google Analytics, heatmaps, session recordings) to identify pain points and opportunities for UX improvement.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional Shopify experiences.
- Conduct A/B testing and user research to validate hypotheses and drive data-backed improvements to the customer journey.
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes and templates using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ensure all new features and updates are mobile-responsive and provide a consistent cross-device experience.
- Work with marketing to optimize SEO, site speed, and conversion funnels.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and best practices in UX/UI design.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify development and administration.
- Proven track record of improving customer journeys and UX on e-commerce platforms.
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other analytical tools.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for e-commerce.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO).
- Understanding of e-commerce CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) strategies.
