Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Small Paint Project Tasker with a specific focus on doors and trim. This part-time role is perfect for individuals who enjoy precise work, have a keen eye for detail, and are committed to delivering excellent finishes. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint to doors, door frames, window frames, baseboards, and other trim elements, ensuring a smooth and professional result. This is an on-site position requiring travel to various residential and commercial locations within Halifax and Dartmouth. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and masking doors and trim.
- Apply paint, stain, or varnish to doors, door frames, window frames, baseboards, crown molding, and other trim according to project specifications.
- Ensure precise and clean lines, paying close attention to detail for a flawless finish.
- Protect surrounding areas and furniture from paint splatters and damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of materials and tools.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding project progress and any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Basic painting skills and techniques, with an understanding of surface preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage small projects efficiently.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift necessary equipment (up to 25 lbs) throughout the workday.

- Previous experience with interior painting, particularly with trim work and fine detailing.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Familiarity with various paint types, primers, and application methods.
