Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Stock Replenishment Associate at our retail warehouse in Queens, NY. This essential role ensures that our sales floor remains fully stocked and organized, supporting a seamless shopping experience for our guests. You will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and moving merchandise, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with general warehouse operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming merchandise, including unloading trucks and verifying shipments against invoices.
- Sort and organize products in the backroom and storage areas according to company standards.
- Efficiently move merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and fronted.
- Monitor stock levels on the sales floor and initiate replenishment as needed to prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Operate manual and powered equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, after receiving proper training.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the backroom and sales floor areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and operational excellence.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and verification.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment.
