Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic student looking to gain valuable work experience in a dynamic and supportive environment? Starbucks in Katy, TX, is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Student Barista. This role is perfect for early risers, as it involves early morning shifts to help us kickstart the day for our valued customers. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to become a fantastic barista!
As a Student Barista, you will be the face of Starbucks, crafting delicious beverages, ensuring a clean and welcoming store environment, and providing exceptional customer service. You’ll learn the art of coffee making, develop strong teamwork skills, and be an integral part of a community-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages to Starbucks quality standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including coffee machines, service areas, and dining spaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Handle cash and card transactions with precision.
- Provide friendly, prompt, and exceptional service to all customers.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including early morning setup.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for early morning shifts.
- Strong desire to learn and master barista skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, predominantly early mornings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school or college.
- Previous customer service or food service experience is a plus, but not required.
- A passion for coffee and customer satisfaction.
