Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Storage Rack Installer to join our growing team in Geelong, Victoria. This role is crucial for helping our customers maximize their garage and attic storage potential through professional installation of various racking and shelving systems. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient installation, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the functionality of their homes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently install a variety of storage rack systems, including overhead garage racks, wall-mounted shelving, and attic storage solutions, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Perform on-site assessments to confirm measurements, identify potential challenges, and ensure the chosen storage solutions are appropriate for the customer's space.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the installation process, answer questions, and ensure their complete satisfaction with the finished product.
- Utilize hand and power tools with precision and care, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices during installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues that may arise, escalating complex problems to supervisors when necessary.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including job completion forms and customer sign-offs, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Represent Bunnings Warehouse professionally at all times, upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with general carpentry, construction, or installation work.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces (e.g., attics, garages).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically installing garage organization systems, shelving, or racking.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification (e.g., Certificate II in Construction Pathways).
- Basic knowledge of structural components in residential buildings.
- First Aid certification.
