Job Description
Are you a student looking to gain valuable retail experience while working in a supportive and dynamic environment? Target’s Willow Glen store is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Student Retail Associates. This casual role offers flexible hours that can accommodate your study schedule, along with casual loading rates. You’ll be a vital part of our store operations, helping to ensure our guests have a smooth and enjoyable shopping journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with a friendly and positive attitude, providing excellent customer service.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, including processing payments, returns, and exchanges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging merchandise.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as receiving shipments and preparing items for display.
- Support store security initiatives by being vigilant and reporting suspicious activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily sales and operational goals.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Learn and effectively communicate product knowledge to guests.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly throughout a shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school or college.
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is a plus, but not required.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
