Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telehealth Nurse to join our innovative remote care team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on patient lives. As a Telehealth Nurse, you will be responsible for providing virtual patient assessment, triage, education, and support through various digital platforms. You will play a crucial role in delivering timely and effective care, guiding patients through their health concerns, and coordinating further medical attention as needed. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare access and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments and triage of patient symptoms and health concerns.
- Provide expert nursing advice, health education, and symptom management guidance to patients via phone, video, or chat.
- Utilize clinical protocols and critical thinking to determine appropriate levels of care and recommend next steps, including self-care, urgent care, or emergency services.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients on medication management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with telehealth best practices and clinical advancements.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (or compact state license eligible for Florida endorsement)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care, emergency room, or primary care setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong active listening abilities.
- Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong self-motivation and organizational skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a private, quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Previous experience in telehealth, telephone triage, or remote patient monitoring.
- Certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing or relevant specialty.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
