Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Teleworking Public Transit Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position where you will play a crucial role in the daily coordination and scheduling of our transit operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of services, managing driver assignments, and responding to operational inquiries from a remote setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily transit routes and schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Manage driver assignments, including call-outs and schedule adjustments.
  • Monitor transit operations in real-time, responding to delays, detours, and other operational disruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with transit operators, dispatchers, and management regarding operational updates.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to schedules, routes, and service disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational activities, incidents, and performance data.
  • Utilize provided technology and software for scheduling, communication, and data management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of service improvements and operational policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a coordination or administrative role, preferably in transportation or logistics.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and comfort with new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective remote collaboration.
