Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Stacker to join our dynamic team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck for high-level stacking and retrieval, as well as performing manual stacking and organization of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork, ensuring accurate inventory placement and optimal warehouse flow. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to stack and retrieve products in high racking systems.
- Perform manual stacking, unstacking, and organizing of merchandise on pallets and shelves.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, both manually and using equipment as required.
- Verify product quantities and ensure accurate placement according to warehouse procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Assist with inventory counts and contribute to overall warehouse organization efforts.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a reach truck (stand-up or sit-down).
- Proven ability to perform manual lifting and stacking of various products.
- Strong understanding and adherence to warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verifying products.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a large-scale distribution or warehouse setting.
- Certification in reach truck operation.
- Experience with inventory management systems (WMS).
