Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Weekend Personal Trainer Assistant to join our Pasco team. This part-time role is crucial for ensuring our gym operations run smoothly, especially during peak weekend hours. You will support our certified personal trainers, assist members, and primarily focus on the set-up and organization of our fitness areas and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about fitness who are looking to gain experience in a supportive gym environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist certified personal trainers with equipment set-up and breakdown for client sessions.
- Ensure all fitness areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked with supplies.
- Greet members warmly and provide basic guidance on gym etiquette and equipment use.
- Monitor the gym floor for safety and cleanliness, promptly addressing any issues.
- Help members with general inquiries and direct them to appropriate staff members.
- Perform light administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling assistance or data entry.
- Prepare and maintain a welcoming environment for all gym users during weekend shifts.
- Assist with inventory management of gym supplies and fitness accessories.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move fitness equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Punctual and reliable for all scheduled weekend shifts
- Basic understanding of gym equipment and safety protocols
- Customer service oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Prior experience in a fitness or customer service role
- Enthusiasm for health and fitness
