Job Description
Are you ready to start a rewarding career in the painting industry? CertaPro Painters is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Painter Assistants. This is an entry-level position, and no prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training! You will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces, assisting experienced painters, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment for our residential projects. If you’re reliable, eager to learn, and dedicated to clean, quality work, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead painters with all aspects of residential painting projects.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching.
- Apply masking tape and drop cloths to protect non-painted surfaces.
- Help set up and break down ladders, scaffolding, and other painting equipment.
- Clean tools, brushes, and work areas daily to maintain a tidy site.
- Organize and maintain painting supplies and equipment.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to clean, quality work.
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
