Amazon Logistics in Southlands, Aurora, CO, is seeking motivated and reliable individuals for an Entry Level Logistics Driver position. This unique opportunity is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow, providing comprehensive training and support to help you obtain the necessary standard driver’s license and develop essential driving skills for vans and small trucks. You’ll be a crucial part of our local delivery network, ensuring timely and accurate package delivery while upholding Amazon’s commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all required training programs, including driver's license acquisition and safe vehicle operation.
- Learn and master the safe and efficient operation of company-provided vans and small trucks for local package delivery.
- Load and unload packages from vehicles, ensuring accurate sorting and secure transportation.
- Follow established routes and schedules to deliver packages to customers' homes and businesses.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize handheld devices for route navigation, package scanning, and delivery confirmations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain a standard Class D driver's license within a specified timeframe (company will provide support).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs, occasionally more with assistance.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using technology for navigation and delivery tasks.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Aurora, CO area.
