Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure, assisting with their luggage efficiently and safely.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing helpful information about hotel facilities and services.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and recommendations for local attractions in Sunderland.
  • Handle guest requests and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby and entrance area.
  • Deliver messages, newspapers, and other items to guest rooms as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with front desk, housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a positive and welcoming attitude.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 25 kg.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per gig requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the Sunderland area and local attractions.
  • First Aid or CPR certification.
