Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure, assisting with their luggage efficiently and safely.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing helpful information about hotel facilities and services.
- Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and recommendations for local attractions in Sunderland.
- Handle guest requests and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby and entrance area.
- Deliver messages, newspapers, and other items to guest rooms as required.
- Collaborate effectively with front desk, housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 25 kg.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per gig requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the Sunderland area and local attractions.
- First Aid or CPR certification.
