Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Google Map Quality Analyst to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the accuracy and quality of Google Maps data. You will be responsible for reviewing map data, identifying discrepancies, verifying information, and providing feedback to ensure the best possible user experience. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a product used by millions worldwide from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Rigorously review and analyze Google Maps data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and report errors, outdated information, and inconsistencies in map features, points of interest, and routes.
- Utilize internal tools and guidelines to verify data against various sources.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to improve map data quality.
- Stay up-to-date with new product features, tools, and quality guidelines.
- Work independently to meet daily and weekly quality assurance targets.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using web-based applications and internet research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
- A keen interest in geography and mapping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in data entry, quality assurance, or content moderation.
- Familiarity with Google Maps or other mapping applications.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team setting.
- Geographical knowledge of California, especially the Huntington Beach area.
