Job Description

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Hotel Receptionist Trainee to join our welcoming team. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with all the skills needed to excel. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in a stunning natural environment, learning the ins and outs of front office operations and guest services from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to guest inquiries via email and in-person.
  • Provide accurate information about resort services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest requests and resolve any issues promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Manage reservations, process payments, and maintain accurate guest records.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the front desk.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • A passion for customer service and hospitality.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role (not necessarily hospitality).
  • Familiarity with the Revelstoke area and local attractions.
