Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Remote Security Scribe to join our global security team. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in documenting critical security processes, policies, and incident reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for internal stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to strengthening our data protection measures and enhancing our overall security posture. Key Responsibilities
- Document and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Draft clear and concise incident response reports, post-mortem analyses, and security advisories.
- Collaborate with security engineers, analysts, and legal teams to gather information and clarify technical details for documentation.
- Translate complex technical security concepts into understandable language for a diverse audience.
- Manage and organize security documentation repositories, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates of existing documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in a cybersecurity or IT environment.
- Strong understanding of fundamental cybersecurity concepts, terminology, and principles.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with documentation tools and content management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Technical Writer, Certified Professional Technical Communicator).
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001).
