Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Google Workspace Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in Blackpool. This role is crucial for ensuring our internal and external clients effectively utilize Google Workspace applications. You will provide comprehensive support primarily through chat and email, focusing on resolving technical issues, guiding users through features, and maintaining system efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology, looking for a role with no direct phone interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Chat) via chat and email channels.
  • Diagnose and resolve user issues related to Google Workspace functionality, account access, data sharing, and synchronization.
  • Create and maintain clear, concise documentation for common issues, resolutions, and best practices.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support engineers or relevant IT teams when necessary.
  • Proactively identify trends in user issues and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Assist with onboarding new users to Google Workspace, providing introductory guidance and resources.
  • Monitor support queues and ensure timely resolution of all inquiries.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with Google Workspace updates and new features.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet).
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests efficiently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Workspace Administrator Fundamentals certification or similar.
  • Previous experience in a non-phone based technical support role.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework.
  • Experience with user training or creating support documentation.
