Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Freight Professional to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This high-demand role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of goods and maintaining our high standards of service. You will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, managing logistics, and providing exceptional support to our customers and internal teams. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your contributions directly impact our operational success and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the movement of freight shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Liaise with customers, drivers, and other operational staff to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Manage documentation related to freight, including bills of lading, customs forms, and other shipping records.
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to customers as required.
- Optimize routing and scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in freight logistics, transportation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of LTL operations and freight management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with local and national transportation regulations.
- Experience with FedEx Freight systems and procedures.
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) or experience working closely with CDL holders.
