Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our team as Marquee / Tent Erection Laborers. This is a demanding outdoor role requiring a strong work ethic and the ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions. You will be an integral part of our crew, responsible for the safe and efficient installation and dismantling of marquees and temporary structures across diverse event sites. This position offers regular overtime opportunities for committed individuals ready for hard work and a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of marquee components, equipment, and materials.
- Participate actively in the erection and dismantling of various types of marquees and temporary structures, following strict safety guidelines and procedures.
- Handle, carry, and position heavy poles, beams, covers, and other structural elements.
- Secure marquees to the ground using pegs, weights, and ropes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on site.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools as instructed, under supervision.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual labor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to safety procedures.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manual labor, construction, landscaping, or similar outdoor work.
- Full UK Driving License (Category B or higher) preferred, but not essential.
- Experience with basic hand tools or power tools.
- First Aid qualification.
