Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Shelf Replenisher to join our team for evening shifts at our Allenton supermarket. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our shelves are consistently stocked, tidy, and presentable, making it easy for customers to find what they need. You’ll be working behind the scenes as the store quietens down, playing a vital part in preparing our store for the next day’s busy shopping.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently replenish stock on shelves, ensuring products are correctly placed and faced.
- Rotate stock to ensure older products are sold first (FIFO – First In, First Out).
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in aisles and stockrooms.
- Assist with the unloading and unpacking of deliveries.
- Check product dates and remove out-of-date items.
- Use store equipment safely and report any defects.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work evening shifts consistently.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and moving stock.
- Attention to detail for accurate stock placement and rotation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or supermarket environment.
- Experience with manual handling and stock replenishment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
