Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Auditor to join our bustling logistics hub in Durham, NC. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Your meticulous approach will help us maintain high standards of inventory control, reduce discrepancies, and optimize our supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough audits of all incoming and outgoing shipments to verify quantities, product codes, and documentation accuracy.
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor adherence to shipping and receiving procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Generate accurate audit reports and communicate findings to relevant departments for resolution.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, drivers, and administrative teams to streamline processes and resolve issues.
- Assist in maintaining organized and efficient storage areas, ensuring proper product placement and identification.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, if certified, to facilitate audits.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform detailed audits and maintain accurate records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a shipping, receiving, or inventory control role.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
