Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic High School Social Media Handler to join our team, focusing specifically on promoting local businesses within the Salinas Valley. This entry-level position is perfect for a social media-savvy student eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and community engagement. You will be instrumental in highlighting the unique stories and offerings of our local business partners across various social media platforms, contributing directly to their visibility and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media content (posts, stories, reels) tailored for local businesses.
- Manage and schedule posts across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Monitor social media trends and adapt content strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
- Interact with followers and respond to comments/messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with local businesses to understand their unique needs and promotional goals.
- Assist in developing monthly content calendars and campaign ideas.
- Track social media performance metrics and contribute to basic reporting.
- Attend local community events and business gatherings for content opportunities.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated.
- Strong passion for social media and understanding of current trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Access to a smartphone capable of high-quality photo and video capture.
Preferred Qualifications
