Job Description
Are you a social media savvy individual with a passion for film and entertainment? AMC Theatres is seeking a talented Part-time Social Media Handler to manage our weekend presence on Instagram and TikTok. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while engaging with our vibrant community of movie enthusiasts. You will be responsible for creating and scheduling captivating content, monitoring interactions, and staying ahead of the latest social media trends to boost our brand’s visibility and engagement on Saturdays and Sundays.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content (posts, stories, Reels, short-form videos) specifically for Instagram and TikTok during weekend hours.
- Actively monitor social media channels, respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly, fostering a positive and interactive community.
- Stay current with the latest social media trends, platform features, and best practices, particularly on Instagram and TikTok.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure weekend content aligns with overall brand voice, campaigns, and promotional strategies.
- Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Identify opportunities for viral content and proactively suggest new creative ideas relevant to movie releases and the cinema experience.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Instagram and TikTok platforms, including content creation tools and features.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to a strict weekend posting schedule.
- Creativity and a passion for developing engaging visual and video content.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a social media management role, whether volunteer, freelance, or professional.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Express.
- A background or strong interest in marketing, communications, or the film/entertainment industry.
- Experience with social media scheduling and management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
