Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly organized and reliable individual to join our team as a Filing & Post Room Clerk. This is an immediate start, entry-level opportunity perfect for someone eager to begin their career in a supportive corporate environment. As a key member of our administrative support team, you will ensure the efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing mail, as well as the meticulous organization and maintenance of critical documents and records. Key Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and inter-office correspondence to appropriate departments and individuals.
- Prepare outgoing mail, including franking, packaging, and arranging for courier services.
- Maintain organized filing systems for various documents, both physical and digital.
- Retrieve and deliver files and documents as requested by various departments.
- Operate standard office equipment, including photocopiers, scanners, and franking machines.
- Ensure the post room and filing areas are kept tidy, organized, and secure.
- Assist with basic data entry and administrative tasks as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding document handling and confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move boxes (up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative support role (even voluntary or short-term).
- Familiarity with record-keeping principles.
- A proactive and 'can-do' attitude.
