Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Head of Shopify Growth to lead our e-commerce strategy and execution. This executive role is critical to our digital expansion, focusing on maximizing revenue, optimizing user experience, and driving innovation across our Shopify Plus platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, digital marketing, data analytics, and team leadership, with a proven track record of scaling online businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Shopify growth strategy aligned with overall company objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of the Shopify Plus platform, including design, development, maintenance, and optimization for conversion and sales.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of e-commerce professionals, including developers, marketers, designers, and analysts.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the customer journey, site performance, mobile experience, and checkout conversion rates.
- Manage the e-commerce P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement new Shopify apps, features, and integrations to improve functionality and customer engagement.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, merchandising, operations, and IT teams to ensure a cohesive omni-channel strategy.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Champion A/B testing, personalization, and data-driven decision-making across all e-commerce activities.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a Shopify Plus platform.
- Expert-level knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, including themes, apps, APIs, and best practices.
- Demonstrable track record of significantly growing online revenue and conversion rates for a consumer brand.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing) and their integration with e-commerce.
- Proficiency in e-commerce analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics) and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent strategic planning, project management, and communication skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L statements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience with international e-commerce operations and multi-currency/multi-language Shopify setups.
- Familiarity with headless commerce architectures and progressive web applications (PWAs).
- Certifications in Shopify, Google Analytics, or other relevant e-commerce platforms.
- Experience within the fashion, apparel, or lifestyle retail industry.
