Job Description
Join our dynamic team at FedEx Ground as a Warehouse Freight Handler, specializing in early morning shifts. This vital role is responsible for the efficient and safe loading, unloading, and sorting of packages within our fast-paced Pasco facility. You will be a key player in ensuring that packages are processed accurately and on time, contributing to the seamless flow of goods across our network. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a physically active environment and are committed to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently from trailers, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Scan and sort packages manually or using automated equipment, ensuring accurate placement and routing.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as required (training provided).
- Inspect packages for damage and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for early morning shifts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical labor role.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
