Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Concierge to join our team at Hotel Atwater. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional, with sponsorship available for eligible candidates. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, resourceful, and polished individual, preferably with Clefs d’Or membership, committed to providing world-class service to our discerning guests. You will be the go-to expert for all guest inquiries, recommendations, and arrangements, ensuring their stay on Catalina Island is nothing short of perfect.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, high-quality concierge services to hotel guests, including but not limited to, dining reservations, transportation arrangements, activity bookings, and local recommendations.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance and solutions to enhance their stay.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of local attractions, events, services, and hidden gems on Catalina Island and the surrounding region.
- Handle guest requests and complaints with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, tour operators, and businesses.
- Uphold the highest standards of luxury hospitality and embody the Hotel Atwater brand.
- Assist with special events and VIP guest services as required.
- Provide clear and concise information and directions to guests.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel concierge or front-of-house role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Profound knowledge of Catalina Island and surrounding areas.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest service.
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; multilingualism is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in Les Clefs d'Or (Union Internationale des Concierges d'Hôtels).
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Experience in a five-star hotel or resort environment.
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin).
