Job Description
Join Greystar’s dedicated team as a Student Housing Turn-over Crew member, specializing in small repairs and cleaning. This vital temporary role is perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. During the fast-paced student housing turnover period, you will be instrumental in preparing units for new residents, ensuring every apartment meets our high standards of cleanliness and functionality. You will perform a variety of tasks ranging from minor maintenance fixes to thorough cleaning, contributing directly to a positive living experience for our students. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in property management and maintenance within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor maintenance tasks including wall patching, touch-up painting, and replacement of small fixtures (e.g., light bulbs, outlet covers).
- Conduct thorough cleaning of student housing units, including kitchens (appliances, countertops, cabinets), bathrooms (toilets, showers, sinks), floors, and windows.
- Remove all trash, debris, and leftover items from vacated units.
- Assist with the movement and setup of furniture or other items as required.
- Inspect units post-cleaning and repairs to ensure readiness for new occupants, adhering to a strict checklist.
- Collaborate effectively with other crew members and property staff to meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper handling of tools and cleaning supplies.
- Report any major maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor promptly.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of general repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Proven ability to clean thoroughly and efficiently.
- Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential cleaning, hospitality, or property maintenance.
