Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Furniture Assemblers to join our team for corporate projects in Southend-on-Sea and surrounding Essex areas. This role involves the precise assembly and installation of high-end office furniture at client sites, ensuring exceptional quality and adherence to design specifications. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install a wide range of office furniture, including desks, chairs, storage units, and modular systems, according to manufacturer instructions and client specifications.
  • Perform on-site quality checks to ensure all furniture is assembled correctly, safely, and to the highest standards.
  • Read and interpret assembly diagrams, blueprints, and installation plans accurately.
  • Safely use hand and power tools required for furniture assembly.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at client sites.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Interact professionally with clients while on site, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly or installation issues efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in furniture assembly, preferably in a commercial or office setting.
  • Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to various client sites within Southend-on-Sea and Essex.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-end or modular office furniture systems (e.g., Kinnarps, Herman Miller, Steelcase).
  • Certification in furniture assembly or a related trade.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Previous experience working on corporate or commercial installation projects.
