Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in accurately and efficiently dispensing prescription medications.
- Process prescription orders and maintain patient profiles under strict pharmacist supervision.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy workspace, adhering to all health regulations.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications to ensure freshness and availability.
- Strictly adhere to all legal, ethical, and company policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Actively participate in all paid training programs and dedicated PTCB certification preparation sessions.
- Perform cashier duties, handling transactions accurately and efficiently, and reconciling daily sales.
- Prepare medication for delivery or pickup, ensuring correct labeling and packaging.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- A genuine interest in healthcare, patient care, and continuous learning.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service or retail role.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology or prior exposure to pharmacy operations.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a significant plus.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
