Job Description

Are you passionate about creating order from chaos and helping others reclaim their spaces? Two Men and a Truck is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Household Sorter Aide with a strong focus on clutter management to join our regional team. In this role, you will work directly with clients in their homes, providing expert assistance in sorting, decluttering, organizing, and preparing items for storage, donation, or disposal. This position requires empathy, discretion, and a methodical approach to organization, ensuring a positive and transformative experience for our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with hands-on sorting and categorization of household items, focusing on decluttering objectives.
  • Develop and implement practical organizing solutions tailored to client needs and preferences.
  • Carefully pack and unpack items, ensuring their safety and proper placement.
  • Transport sorted items to designated areas within the client's home or to a collection point.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion while working in clients' homes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide updates on progress.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed.
  • Provide empathetic and non-judgmental support throughout the decluttering process.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to sort, categorize, and organize various household items efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused attitude.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and household items (up to 25 lbs) comfortably.
  • Discretion and respect for client privacy.
  • Reliable transportation to various client locations within the Winnipeg region.
  • Basic understanding of decluttering principles and organizational strategies.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to different home environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in professional organizing, home staging, or a related field.
  • Certification in professional organizing (e.g., from POC – Professional Organizers in Canada).
  • Familiarity with various organizational tools and systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
