Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Kitchen Hardware Fitter to join our service team in North York. This role focuses on performing small maintenance tasks and fittings for kitchen hardware, ensuring the longevity and optimal function of IKEA kitchen products. You will be responsible for precise installation, minor repairs, and general upkeep of hardware such as hinges, handles, drawer slides, and other fittings, contributing directly to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent manual dexterity, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is an on-site position where you will work within our service centers or occasionally on customer premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute precise installation and fitting of kitchen hardware components, including hinges, handles, drawer runners, and various fixtures.
- Perform small repairs and adjustments to existing kitchen hardware to resolve functionality issues.
- Conduct quality checks on installed hardware to ensure alignment, stability, and smooth operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot minor hardware-related problems in kitchen units.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Adhere to safety protocols and IKEA's installation standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding work progress and potential solutions.
- Complete job reports and documentation accurately.
