Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rooms to lead the operational excellence of our Rooms Division at The Ritz-Carlton, Tucson Foothills. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of guest services, front office, housekeeping, and other rooms-related departments to ensure an exceptional luxury experience. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of luxury hotel operations, a passion for service, and a proven ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Valet departments.
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction and service delivery in line with The Ritz-Carlton brand standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, guest experience, and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecast revenue, and control expenses effectively.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring guest loyalty.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Monitor and analyze guest feedback, implementing initiatives for service improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and quality assurance standards.
  • Actively participate in the hotel's executive committee and strategic planning initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Rooms Division at a luxury hotel.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and diverse departments.
  • Exceptional understanding of luxury service standards and guest experience enhancement.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and achieve targets.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Experience working in a Forbes 5-Star or AAA 5-Diamond property.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Certification in hospitality management or leadership.
