Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Receptionist to join our team in Garland, TX. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to start their career in a vibrant hospitality environment. You will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient service. A generous sign-on bonus is available for all new hires!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests and visitors with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail, deliveries, and packages.
- Maintain office security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
- Order front office supplies and keep an inventory of stock.
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide accurate information about the hotel and local attractions.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing conference room bookings.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, brochures).
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
- Experience in a hospitality or customer service-focused environment.
- Familiarity with office equipment (e.g., fax machine, printer).
- Associate's degree or relevant certification.
