Job Description
Are you a tech-savvy student with a passion for discovering the latest and greatest apps? Google is seeking enthusiastic Student Brand Scouts to help us identify trending, innovative, and impactful applications across various platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely, leverage your understanding of student life and digital trends, and provide valuable insights that directly contribute to Google’s app discovery initiatives. You’ll be at the forefront of identifying emerging app trends, user behaviors, and potential partnerships, all while gaining valuable experience with a global technology leader. Key Responsibilities
- Actively research and identify new and emerging mobile and web applications across various categories and platforms.
- Evaluate apps based on innovation, user experience, potential impact, and relevance to target demographics, especially students.
- Provide detailed feedback and insights on app functionality, market fit, and potential for Google integration or promotion.
- Stay informed about current digital trends, competitor activities, and shifts in consumer app usage.
- Participate in virtual team meetings to share findings, discuss strategies, and collaborate on discovery projects.
- Maintain accurate records of discovered apps and research findings.
- Act as an ambassador for Google, representing our brand values and fostering positive engagement within your network.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong interest in mobile applications, web technologies, and digital trends.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with various app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) and app discovery platforms.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and personal computer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a brand ambassador, campus representative, or in market research.
- Active presence and engagement on social media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate market trends.
- Knowledge of Google products and services.
