Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantitative Chemist with a strong focus on Data Analytics to join our innovative team. This pivotal role will involve leveraging advanced analytical chemistry principles combined with sophisticated data science techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex chemical datasets. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing data models, optimizing analytical methods, and driving data-informed decision-making across various projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate analytical methods for quantitative chemical analysis using various spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques.
  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning algorithms to analyze large chemical datasets, identify trends, and predict outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data acquisition, cleaning, and processing from diverse instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to translate research questions into data analysis strategies and actionable insights.
  • Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate complex analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and integrate new data analytics tools and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.

Required Skills

  • PhD or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or a related scientific field.
  • 3+ years of post-academic experience in quantitative chemical analysis, method development, and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques applied to scientific data.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with various analytical techniques (e.g., GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis) and their data outputs.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing.
  • Familiarity with cheminformatics tools and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop predictive models for chemical properties or reactions.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO, GLP, GMP).
  • Track record of scientific publications or presentations in data science or analytical chemistry.
