Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Sedan Aide to join our team, specifically catering to clients needing reliable transportation during school hours. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible part-time work, ensuring safe and timely transport for passengers, particularly students, to and from various destinations. As a Professional Sedan Aide, you will be an ambassador for Mears Transportation, providing a high level of service, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and adhering strictly to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company sedan to transport passengers to their scheduled destinations during designated school hours.
- Ensure punctuality for all pick-ups and drop-offs, adhering to pre-determined routes and schedules.
- Assist passengers with entry and exit from the vehicle, and with any personal belongings as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with passengers, parents, and dispatch.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger logs.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class E or higher)
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a clean driving record (no major violations or at-fault accidents)
- Excellent knowledge of Orlando and surrounding Central Florida areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Punctual and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Customer service-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in professional driving or passenger transportation services
- Familiarity with school drop-off and pick-up procedures
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- First Aid and CPR certification
