Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Aide to join our private practice team in Guildford. This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about supporting patient recovery and keen to develop a career in healthcare. As a Physiotherapy Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting our qualified physiotherapists, ensuring the smooth operation of treatment sessions, and maintaining a high standard of patient care. You will be responsible for preparing treatment areas, assisting patients with exercises, maintaining equipment, and providing administrative support. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
- Assist physiotherapists during treatment sessions, including setting up exercises and providing practical support to patients.
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and mobility routines under the direct supervision of a physiotherapist.
- Maintain and clean physiotherapy equipment and treatment rooms regularly, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Manage linen and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Provide compassionate and professional support to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and answering phone calls as needed.
- Assist with patient intake and discharge procedures.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the supervising physiotherapist.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology (desirable but not essential).
