Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Pharmacy Clerk to join our team in Centretown, Ottawa. This is a stable, full-time position offering a consistent Monday-Friday schedule and comprehensive health benefits. The Pharmacy Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process prescription drop-offs and pick-ups, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Manage inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and assisting with orders
- Handle cash and card transactions, operate point-of-sale systems
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation and waiting area
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-medical tasks as needed
- Adhere to all store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
- Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an asset
