Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated National Security Analyst with a strong focus on defense to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of national security policy, defense strategies, and geopolitical dynamics. The successful candidate will provide critical analysis, strategic recommendations, and support to various defense projects, ensuring our nation’s security objectives are met. This position offers relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on national security issues, defense policies, and emerging threats.
- Prepare detailed reports, briefs, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Monitor geopolitical developments and assess their impact on U.S. national security and defense interests.
- Develop strategic recommendations to enhance defense capabilities and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate intelligence, policy, and operational insights.
- Participate in simulations, exercises, and workshops to test and refine defense strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge of defense technologies, military operations, and international security frameworks.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, National Security Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in national security analysis, defense policy, or intelligence.
- Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Demonstrated understanding of U.S. defense doctrine and national security apparatus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience working with government agencies or defense contractors.
- Fluency in a foreign language relevant to geopolitical hot spots (e.g., Mandarin, Russian, Arabic).
- Experience with intelligence gathering and assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity threats and defense strategies.
