Job Description
Are you a motivated and energetic 13-year-old looking for your first experience in yard maintenance? Greystar, a global leader in residential real estate, is offering a fantastic opportunity for local teens in Scottsdale to assist with basic yard care tasks. As a Yard Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for simple mowing and edging of designated areas within our managed properties. This role is ideal for someone looking for part-time work, particularly during after-school hours or weekends. No prior experience is required – we’ll teach you everything you need to know to perform tasks safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a push lawnmower to mow grass in designated areas.
- Perform basic edging around walkways, flowerbeds, and driveways.
- Clear away grass clippings and debris after mowing and edging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and store equipment properly.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions provided by supervisors.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Work cooperatively with other team members or independently as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and thoroughly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Punctuality and good time management.
- Basic understanding of safety practices for outdoor work.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, pushing a mower, bending, and lifting light equipment (up to 20 lbs).
