Job Description

KPMG is seeking an experienced and visionary Human Resources (HR) Director to lead our HR function in Manchester, with support for visa sponsorship for exceptional international talent. This pivotal role requires a strategic HR leader capable of shaping our talent strategy, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving HR excellence across the organization. The HR Director will be instrumental in developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and services that align with our business objectives and values, ensuring compliance with local and international labor laws. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, organizational development, and learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and retention efforts, including recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to HR policies and procedures.
  • Design and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
  • Foster a strong organizational culture that promotes employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to senior leadership and management teams.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives and support employees through transitions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an HR Director or in a similar senior HR leadership role (minimum 10 years).
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and legal regulations in the UK.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, organizational development, and change management.
  • Ability to manage complex employee relations issues with diplomacy and effectiveness.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, MBA, or a related advanced qualification.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience working in a professional services or large multinational environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing visa sponsorship processes for international employees.
  • Experience with global HR frameworks and cross-cultural teams.
