Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Guest Service Assistant (Porter) to join our dynamic team at the Hilton Leicester Hotel. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial part in their overall experience. You will be responsible for providing a warm welcome, assisting with luggage, and offering general support and information to ensure our guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly welcome.
- Assist guests with the loading and unloading of luggage from vehicles and transfer to rooms.
- Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Deliver newspapers, messages, and other items to guest rooms promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel lobby and entrance.
- Assist with car parking and valet services as required.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues efficiently and professionally.
- Support the front desk and concierge teams with various tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
- Wear the provided full uniform neatly and professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage (up to 25kg).
- Professional and presentable appearance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic knowledge of the Leicester area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
