Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to child protection teams, including data entry, record keeping, and managing correspondence.
- Assist in organizing meetings, appointments, and case conferences, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared.
- Support the maintenance of accurate and confidential case files, adhering to strict data protection guidelines.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including families, other agencies, and community partners, under supervision.
- Assist with practical tasks such as preparing resources for children and families, and arranging transport where needed.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge of child protection policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team meetings, offering insights and support as appropriate.
- Adhere to Barnardo's policies and procedures, ensuring a child-centered approach in all activities.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable individuals.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (paid or voluntary) in an administrative or support role, especially within a social care, education, or healthcare setting.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and families.
- Basic knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding principles (training will be provided).
