Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Industrial Gas Driver with a strong focus on cryogenic product transportation to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. This is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of cryogenic industrial gases (such as Liquid Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, and CO2) to customers across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent driving record, a deep understanding of hazardous materials regulations, and a commitment to safety and customer service. This is a top-salary position for a driver who excels in this specialized field.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport cryogenic industrial gases to customer sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects.
- Load and unload cryogenic products using hoses and pumps, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and other required documentation.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing inquiries professionally.
- Respond to and report any spills, incidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Participate in all safety training and meetings as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Proven experience transporting cryogenic liquids.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hazardous materials placards/labeling.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Knowledge of local and regional delivery routes in Colorado.
- Familiarity with various cryogenic tank designs and filling procedures.
